Steps to Get an Indenting Registration Certificate in Bangladesh
1. Eligibility
You must be:
• A Bangladeshi citizen or a registered Bangladeshi company.
• Representing one or more foreign manufacturers/suppliers as an agent/indenter.
2. Required Documents
Prepare the following documents:
1. Application Form (Prescribed format from CCI&E)
2. Trade License (valid and updated)
3. TIN Certificate
4. VAT Registration Certificate
5. Bank Solvency Certificate
6. Incorporation Certificate (for limited companies)
7. Memorandum and Articles of Association (for limited companies)
8. Letter of Authority/Agency Agreement from foreign principal(s)
9. Undertaking Letter (stating adherence to rules and regulations)
10. Passport/National ID of owner/directors
11. Copies of recent passport-size photographs
12. Membership Certificate from Bangladesh Indenting Agents’ Association
13. Challan receipt of payment made to the government treasure
3. Pay the Treasury Challan
Deposit the prescribed fee at Bangladesh Bank or Sonali Bank under the head:
• Code: 1-1731-0001-1801
• Indenting Registration Certificate Fees as below:
For new Indenting Certificate: BDT 50,000/- (Excluding VAT)
For yearly renewal of Indenting Certificate: BDT 25,000/- (Excluding VAT)
(15% VAT applicable)
4. Submit to CCI&E
Submit your complete application package with all documents and the treasury receipt to your respective CCI&E regional office.
5. Verification and Issuance
CCI&E will review and verify the documents. If everything is in order, they will issue your Indenting Registration Certificate. Validity is typically 1 year, with annual renewal required.
